Men are domestic violence victims too
A husband being beaten up by his wife?
Mark tells us this happens and is no less serious than any abusive behavior.
Domestic violence can take many forms: husband against wife, wife against husband, partner against partner, in straight or gay relationships and can be physical or verbal.
If someone confides in you, listen, give them support and steer them to an agency that can help.
In Sacramento we have WEAVE.

2010 California Marriage Protection Act with John Marcotte
Checkered Nation hosts Mark and Kevin interview John Marcotte, the author of the 2010 California Marriage Protection Act.
John explains this act would ban divorce in California thus protecting marriage and families even better than the recently enacted Proposition 8 which effectively banned gay marriage.
So far the Catholic and LDS churches have not thrown their support behind the act but he is still hoping.
John receives hate mail and support mail from the left and hate mail and support mail from the right so he figures he must be in the middle, in the mainstream.
This is a real grass roots initiative.
